Bergeranthus are distinguished by their triangular, smooth leaves and branching clusters of yellow flowers that open any time during the year. They also have thick rootstocks, which, when planted slightly above soil level, give the plant a bonsai-like appearance. Though they are summer growers, the plants require regular watering. They are also prone to red spider mites. The genus is considered to be in need of taxonomic clarification, because species merge and are difficult to distinguish. Plants are propagated by seed.

Bright yellow flowers that open during the day and close at night. When closed they have a very cute pink colouring.

Happy in either a full sun or part shade position. Average Water Needs; Water regularly; do not overwater.
